Wodonga moves to the beat
Wodonga is drumming up an amazing experience for the final Fridays on My Mind this season from 5.30pm tomorrow, with rhythmic drumming by local African drummers.
The Ezou family will perform in Arts Space Wodonga, plus also offer the public a chance to come and try the drums themselves.
Meanwhile Melbourne musicians the ‘Pierce Brothers’ will entertain the crowd with wistful ballads in The Cube Wodonga Courtyard, supported by the bittersweet melodies of ‘Didirri’.
For other activities between 5.30pm and 8.30pm, visit nearby venues including:- Wodonga Library: for a Grimms fairy tale theme with fantasy face painting, gingerbread house craft, shadow puppets and interactive floor.- Arts Space Wodonga: to hear Ezou family drummers, poetry, plus the last night of ‘Jacqui Stockdale: Drawing the Labyrinth’ exhibition.- The Cube Wodonga: join in the wild and woolly art activity, laser tag, or free 10-minute massages.
Food and drink will be on sale in The Cube Wodonga Courtyard and includes kids menu, pizza, street burgers, icecream, coffee, and wine. Wodonga Senior Citizens will once again hold square dancing from 7.30pm in their centre.
Fridays on My Mind occurs once a month during the warmer months in Wodonga. This is the final event for this season.
